The adventure begins in Folkestone, where riders gather for introductions before boarding the Eurotunnel into France. From there, the roads open up across the French countryside, a gentle warm-up through rolling farmland and quiet villages before reaching the wooded hills of the Ardennes. It’s the perfect first taste of Europe’s riding culture, with a relaxed evening to settle in.
On day two, the group weaves across borders, riding through Belgium and Luxembourg before crossing into Germany. The destination is the legendary Black Forest, a biker’s paradise of towering pines, timber-clad villages, and endless sweepers. Riders will settle into a traditional lodge, with hearty food and cold beers at the ready.
Day three dives deeper into Germany as we follow the famous B500, one of Europe’s most celebrated motorcycle roads. The ride then pushes east, climbing into the Bavarian Alps and finishing in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a lively alpine town known for its beer halls and mountain scenery.
On day four, the real mountains arrive. Crossing through Austria, the road winds higher and higher over alpine passes, before dropping dramatically into northern Italy. The jagged peaks of the Dolomites rise up on the horizon as we descend into Bolzano, where Italian culture and alpine landscapes blend seamlessly.
Day five is a no-bags, all-twisties kind of day. Riders will tackle the famous Dolomite passes — Pordoi, Sella, Gardena, and more — a thrilling loop of switchbacks, panoramic lookouts, and alpine cafés. This is pure riding bliss, ending back in Bolzano with time to relax and relive the day’s highs.
On day six, the Dolomites fade behind us as we roll south through the Italian countryside toward Bologna. Vineyards, farmland, and medieval towns pave the way, before arriving in one of Italy’s great culinary capitals. The Alps are in the rear-view, and plates of fresh pasta and local wine await.
Rolling south from Bologna, the roads ease into the Tuscan hills — a world of winding backroads, stone farmhouses, and vineyards stretching to the horizon. The pace slows today, giving riders time to savour the approach to Florence, the jewel of Tuscany. Renaissance palaces, cobbled piazzas, and the scent of espresso and fresh bread fill the air. The evening is free to explore — whether it’s climbing the Duomo for panoramic views, strolling the Ponte Vecchio, or enjoying a glass of Chianti under the glow of Tuscan sunsets.
The next day, we trade city streets for countryside lanes, looping through the backroads of Arezzo and into the rolling vineyard country of Montepulciano. This is postcard Tuscany — medieval hilltop towns, golden light on olive groves, and wine estates that have been perfecting their craft for centuries. Riders can wander narrow alleys, sample local reds, and soak in the timeless beauty of this ancient wine capital.
Day nine carries us westward across more of Tuscany’s sun-soaked heartland. The ride winds through scenic valleys and sleepy villages before reaching Lucca, a charming walled city with centuries of history etched into every stone. Behind its Renaissance walls, Lucca reveals leafy piazzas, winding streets, and a relaxed Italian rhythm. Riders can stroll or pedal along the city’s walls, dive into trattorias serving rustic Tuscan fare, or simply relax with an aperitivo as the evening settles over this enchanting town.
After exploring the charms of Lucca, the pace shifts as riders point northward, leaving Tuscany’s vineyards behind and chasing the curves toward the Piedmont foothills. The ride threads through valleys and mountain ridges, a scenic transition from Italy’s rolling countryside to the towering drama of the Alps. Evenings bring rustic charm — local trattorias, fine wines, and the easy rhythm of Italian village life.
From here, the road rises steadily into the Western Alps, where crisp air and jagged peaks dominate the horizon. Riders carve their way up alpine passes, each bend revealing fresh panoramas of snow-dusted summits and sweeping valleys. The destination is Courmayeur, a postcard-perfect mountain town nestled beneath Mont Blanc, where Italian hospitality meets high-altitude adventure.
Crossing the Alps on day thirteen is a highlight of the entire tour. The route winds through spectacular passes into eastern France, a land of vineyards, rolling fields, and timeless villages. The ride eases into Dijon, famed for its Burgundy wines and historic old town. After days of adrenaline on the high roads, the softer French countryside makes for a perfect contrast — setting the stage for Champagne country ahead.
Leaving Dijon, the roads roll gently north through the heart of France’s wine country. Vineyards stretch across the hillsides as we enter the Champagne region, home to some of the world’s most celebrated bubbles. The day’s ride is relaxed and scenic, with time to pause in villages where centuries of winemaking tradition live on. By evening we arrive in Reims, a city steeped in history and famous for its grand cathedral, where French kings were once crowned. Riders can raise a glass of local Champagne to toast the journey so far.
The final day carries us westward through the last stretches of French countryside. Fields give way to open highways as we make our way back toward the coast, retracing the path to Calais and boarding the Eurotunnel. Crossing under the Channel, the adventure comes full circle in Folkestone.
It’s more than just miles covered — it’s been fifteen days of mountain passes, vineyard valleys, timeless towns, and unforgettable camaraderie on two wheels. A proper Wild Roads ride-out, etched into memory long after the engines cool.
