A motorcycle holiday is more than a holiday — it’s a week or a fortnight of mountain passes, coastal roads, coffee stops in mountain villages and evenings with a group of riders who started the trip as strangers and finish it as friends. That’s what we build at Wild Roads: proper motorcycle holidays across the UK, Europe and further afield, run in small personal groups of 8–10 riders and led from the front by the owner, Joshua James.

A motorcycle holiday is a multi-day touring trip built around great riding — a fully planned route, handpicked hotels each night, and a group of like-minded riders. On a Wild Roads holiday everything is arranged for you: accommodation, breakfasts, routes, ferry crossings and support. You turn up, ride the best roads in Europe or the UK, and enjoy the evenings.
Yes — on all of our European motorcycle holidays you ride your own bike. Everything from Harleys to BMW GSs to Triumphs joins our tours. On expeditions like Hidden Japan, rental bikes are arranged for you. We’re happy to advise on preparing your bike for a touring holiday.
Absolutely — most riders on our motorcycle holidays come on their own. You get your own private room, and the small groups bond brilliantly on the road. Solo riders are very welcome on every tour we run. Read more about singles motorcycle holidays here.
A typical day is 150–220 miles of twisty, scenic roads with proper stops — coffee, lunch, viewpoints — built into the route. Days are designed to finish with time to enjoy the hotel and the town, not to chase a mileage number.
Handpicked hotel accommodation, daily breakfasts, fully planned routes with GPX files and our touring app, return ferry or Eurotunnel crossings, 24/7 support, and welcome and farewell meals and drinks on guided holidays. Lunches, evening meals beyond the hosted ones, fuel and personal travel insurance are not included.

May, June and September are the sweet spots for most of Europe — warm days, quiet roads and clear mountain passes. July and August suit the higher Alpine routes and the Picos, while our spring Spain holiday runs in April and autumn expeditions run from September to October.
A £1,500 deposit secures your place, with the balance not due until 120 days before departure. Book through the Adventure Booking Hub or message Josh directly — he’ll happily talk through which holiday suits your riding.
